With their new record Crystal Eyes, Spiders return with a powerful collection of songs that highlights both the band’s musical roots and its continued evolution. Recorded at Svenska Grammofonstudion in Gothenburg and produced by Kalle Gustafsson Jerneholm and György Barocsai, the album captures the band’s blend of hard rock, garage, punk, and new wave with renewed focus and intensity. Crystal Eyes reflects the qualities that have defined Spiders throughout their career – strong songwriting, raw energy, and a deep connection to rock music’s past and present.
Since forming in 2012, the Gothenburg-based band has built a strong reputation on rock stages across Europe and the United States. With albums like Flash Point, Shake Electric, and Killer Machine, they have established a unique sound where classic rock ’n’ roll meets garage, punk, and new wave. Last year saw the release of Sharp Objects, their first album on Wild Kingdom – a record that injected new energy into the band and opened the door to a fresh creative chapter.
Their music has been described as “’70s-soaked hard rock,” “Motörhead chaos,” and a “riff party,” and has been praised in magazines such as Classic Rock, Record Collector, Sweden Rock Magazine, and Vive Le Rock.
With Crystal Eyes, Spiders continue to leave their mark on the alternative rock scene, taking yet another step toward reaching a global audience.
