Eroc - Eroc 3 (Reissue, Remastered) (1979)

Eroc 3 (1979) is a conceptual and one of the most striking solo works by Joachim H. Erig (Eroc), the drummer and sound engineer for symphonic kraut legends Grobschnitt. On this album, Eroc fully reveals himself as a virtuoso multi-instrumentalist, a master of studio editing, and a subtle eccentric. Combining monumental symphonic prog elements, analog electronics, field recordings, and his signature German avant-garde humor, the album is a kaleidoscopic suite. Eroc 3 also features the celebrated composition "Wolkenreise"—a heavenly, melodic electro-prog track that became an international hit and a classic of instrumental music.
