FloFilz - Cenário (2016)

The album “Cenário” arrived at the height of the European beat scene and remains one of the genre’s defining records. It’s a landmark in FloFilz’s catalog that hasn’t lost a bit of its magic. As Tom Misch recalls: “A beautiful album full of great flips. I especially remember hearing ‘Dulce’ for the first time and thinking, damn, I wish I’d written that myself!”

The album cemented FloFilz’s status as one of his generation’s most influential producers in jazz hip-hop and soul. It features his most commercially successful track, “Dulce,” which has racked up more than 40 million streams. Other highlights include “Taxi Bossa” and two tracks featuring the mysterious jazz singer Olivia Wendlandt (“Intro Azul” and “Nuvem”).

“Cenário” is dedicated to Lisbon and is the second installment in FloFilz’s conceptual album series, which he launched in 2012 with photographer Robert Winter and the label Melting Pot Music. As part of the project, they also visited Paris (“Metronom,” 2014), London (“Transit,” 2019), and Tokyo (“Hagaki,” 2025).
