Hvalfugl - Island (2026) [Hi-Res]

In January 2026, a group of musicians traveled to Iceland to record the album Island at the famous Sundlaugin Studio on the outskirts of Reykjavík — a historic former swimming pool renowned as the rehearsal and recording space for Sigur Rós. Immersed in dark winter days and surrounded by an extensive collection of instruments, including mellotron, guitars, and keyboards, the band worked intensive hours. Joining forces with three members of the Icelandic band ADHD, they brought together a mix of initial sketches and fully structured compositions, resulting in a collaborative release that blended both groups' distinct sound and character.
