*This Is Our Song* (released on October 2, 2025) is a major double-disc anniversary album from the National Youth Choir of Great Britain.
The release marks the 10th anniversary of the ensemble’s own record label, National Youth Choir Recordings (NYCR).
Conceived as a grand musical anthology, the album encapsulates a decade of the choir's history. Its central theme is to showcase the journey and generational continuity within the organization—from initial rehearsals to performances on the world's most prestigious stages.
The tracklist comprises 33 compositions with a total runtime of approximately two hours and forty minutes. The compilation brings together recordings featuring thousands of young voices from across the UK—ranging from junior children's groups to alumni and professional resident artists.
The release arrived exactly ten years to the day after the label’s very first single was issued.
The album opens with *I'm Here*, a monumental 12-minute work composed by the renowned British composer and baritone Roderick Williams specifically for this anniversary, in collaboration with the choir’s senior ensemble (ages 18–25). The piece premiered at the 2025 Three Choirs Festival in Hereford.
The compilation features a diverse mix of styles, placing John Rutter’s *A Choral Fanfare* alongside choral arrangements of Queen’s pop hits (such as *Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy*), iconic jazz classics (like *A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square*), and even the dynamic Indian music of A.R. Rahman (*Balleilakka*), featuring the percussion ensemble Tarang.
