Dexter and The Moonrocks - Friends That I Don't Like (2026)

Abilene, Texas-based outfit Dexter and the Moonrocks releases their project, «Friends That I Don't Like», further establishing their signature Western Space Grunge identity. Comprising James Dexter, Colby Waggoner, Ryan Flynn, and Zachary Smil, the band blends narrative-driven country and southern rock lyricism with raw, heavy alternative rock guitar arrangements.

«Friends That I Don't Like» tackles themes of interpersonal conflict, social friction, and personal reflection. By pairing authentic Red Dirt songwriting roots with aggressive grunge energy and driving rhythm, Dexter and the Moonrocks deliver a cohesive release that bridges classic southern traditions and modern indie rock.
