Maria Reich - CARE WORKS (2026) [Hi-Res]

The album “Care Works” by Berlin-based violinist, violist, and composer Maria Reich is a profound conceptual exploration of care work, motherhood, and the realities of being a female musician in modern society. Nominated for the German Jazz Prize 2026, Reich utilizes her distinctive improvisational vocabulary and tactile, expressive string soundscapes to address the often overlooked, unpaid, and emotionally demanding labor that sustains human connection. The album bridges intricate sonic experimentation with pressing socio-cultural reflections.
