Louis Armstrong - Best of Louis Armstrong (2026)

This collection brings together recordings by Louis Armstrong made between 1950 and 1983. It includes solo performances, orchestral collaborations with Sy Oliver, and sessions with Louis Armstrong & His All Stars. Different producers oversaw the recordings over the decades, including Milt Gabler, Michael Kapp, and Bob Thiele. The track list features iconic works by artists such as Édith Piaf, Jerry Herman, and Henry Mancini. These versions often differ from those on other releases, such as Verve’s 2024 release, particularly in the dates of individual recordings and in arrangements such as the 1968 version of “Dream a Little Dream of Me.”
