Dééfait - Dééfait (2026) [Hi-Res]

The self-titled debut full-length album by Franco-Mexican outfit Dééfait, recorded by Peter Deimel at the iconic Black Box studios in Angers and mixed by Andy Blundell, delivers a visceral blend of noise rock, doom, krautrock, and psychedelic rock. Formed through a series of experimental house sessions between frontman Ric Lara and members of the group Pays P (Pablo and Lucas Valero, Grégoire Couvert, and Enir Da), the band weaves a dense, ritualistic wall of sound. Driven by multi-lingual vocals (spanning French, English, and Spanish) executed in a piercing, effect-drenched "heliumcore" delivery, the record balances heavy walls of guitars, driving basslines, and hypnotic, trance-like rhythms reminiscent of Fugazi, CAN, Boredoms, and Gnod.
