Brooklyn artist and bandleader John Roseboro releases the new album Va Va Voom on October 2, 2026. It is the fourth release on his own label, Public Confession Art House, following Johnny (2023) and Fools (2024). The eleven tracks were recorded at home in Flatbush. Roseboro wrote, performed and arranged all the songs himself, with engineering and co-production by Luke Jr.

By his own account, it is his most tender exploration of romance, religion and regret. The record is conceived as a protest against "inorganic sounds." The lead single Bonanza (August 2026) shows his signature style, which he calls "post-bossa": an animated baritone delivering a sun-dappled elegy. This jazzy refinement of indie pop and Tropicália took shape in the Brooklyn underground in the early 2020s. A notable moment was his 2023 cover of Antônio Carlos Jobim's "Waters of March" with Mei Semones. The two released two more tracks together in 2026. His public supporters include Men I Trust, Frankie Cosmos, Field Medic and Thee Sacred Souls, and he is compared to King Krule, Steve Lacy and Burt Bacharach. The album is available digitally, on vinyl, CD and cassette.
