Mirna Bogdanović - Glimmerence (2026) [Hi-Res]

Berlin-based vocalist and songwriter Mirna Bogdanović has released her third album, Glimmerence — a deeply personal cycle of songs at the crossroads of jazz, art-pop, and intimate, confessional lyricism. She coined the title herself: it names the fragile space between love and illusion, and this state sets the emotional tone of the whole record. She made the album alongside several of Berlin’s leading jazz musicians — Wanja Slavin (synth, saxophone, woodwinds), Povel Widestrand (piano, synth), Peter Meyer (guitars, ukulele), double bassist Igor Spallati, and drummer Philip Dornbusch; Bogdanović herself sings and plays kalimba. The result is a richly layered sound in which voice, words, and instrumental texture exist as a single whole. Her expressive vocal delivery and poetic writing turn each composition into a cinematic monologue about longing, vulnerability, and inner resilience. The album closes with a powerful reinterpretation of Chris Isaak’s hit “Wicked Game”. Glimmerence stands as an emotionally resonant statement from one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary European jazz.
