Logan Hone - Feeling Fireworks! (2026)

Los Angeles saxophonist Logan Hone releases Feeling Fireworks!, recorded with nine close collaborators. It is exuberant instrumental music with joy-forward saxophone, explosive improvisation and full-bodied enthusiasm. The material grew out of the homespun solo mixtape Dance of Delight: for several years the songs were played at solo sets, band shows and conga lines, becoming the soundtrack to some of LA’s most joyful communal gatherings. To finally capture them, Hone and the band packed into Paul Cherry’s studio like sardines and played live over two days, all sharing the same headphone mix. Live performances are accompanied by dancer Jessica Hemingway, live animation by Pendleton Ward, and sometimes the Bob Baker Marionettes. Hone’s motto: “Let’s feel some fireworks y’all! WE GOTTA!!”
