This is a wonderful collection from the Japanese band Casiopea—one that stands out significantly from typical "greatest hits" compilations.
Its key feature is that all 14 tracks were personally selected by the band members, drawn exclusively from studio albums released between 2000 and 2005. The title *Gentle & Mellow* reflects the album's concept: showcasing the more melodic, laid-back, and atmospheric side of Casiopea.
There is no aggressive fusion here; instead, the focus is on beautiful guitar themes, keyboard harmonies, and nuanced rhythmic work.
