Raghunath Manet - Ragas du soir (2026) [Hi-Res]

Indian musician Raghunath Manet has released a new album, “RAGAS DU SOIR,” confirming his reputation as one of India’s most innovative artists. His approach to composition is deeply personal: he moves freely across genre boundaries, joining tradition and modernity while keeping a timeless beauty in his music.

Playing the veena, singing and using cymbals, he creates original compositions together with guest musicians. In his hands the evening ragas gain their own style and melodic freedom: they “swing” to rhythmic onomatopoeic syllables, which he handles with particular intensity. This reveals a hidden side of Carnatic music, a tradition regarded as music to lull the gods to sleep.
