Coleman Hell - Summerland (10th Anniversary Edition) (2026) [Hi-Res]

Summerland, the debut full-length album by Canadian musician Coleman Hell, is celebrating its tenth anniversary with a special reissue featuring previously unreleased archival tracks. Originally released in 2016 on 604 Records, the album reflects the artist’s return to his roots in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Coleman Hell recorded most of the material with producers Rob Benvegnu and La+ch in a secluded wooden cabin designed to help him feel connected to his hometown. Inspired by Wiccan beliefs about the afterlife, the creative process involved occult themes and spiritual exploration. The album blends indie pop, folk, and elements of electronic dance music; in particular, acoustic banjo melodies contrast with contemporary synth-pop rhythms. The album’s success helped it climb to No. 13 on the Canadian Albums Chart, and the artist was nominated for the 2017 Juno Award for Pop Album of the Year.
