Roberto Negro - Pärt & Songs (2026) [Hi-Res]

Pianist Roberto Negro is releasing an album dedicated to the work of Arvo Pärt and exploring his piano compositions from the 1950s. The musician reimagines this repertoire, creating new works based on the musical structures of the Estonian composer. The project transforms these motifs into a living legacy, marked by restraint and aesthetic exploration. The album weaves together music and contemporary poetry, including texts by Alejandra Pizarnik, Laura Liberale, and Jin Eun-young. These poems share with the notes a special attention to silence and brevity. The sonic journey revolves around “Partita” and “Sonatina No. 2,” with Für Alina serving as its central axis. This solo performance highlights the fragility of breath and the precision of resonances, creating a special intimacy with listeners.
