Sean Solomon - The World Is Not Good Enough (Deluxe) (2026) [Hi-Res]

American musician, multi-instrumentalist, and animator Sean Solomon, former member of the indie rock band Moaning signed to Sub Pop, underwent a deep personal transformation to craft raw, deeply confessional indie folk. Since his teenage years, Sean Solomon confronted the weight of a psychiatric hospitalization, a psychotic episode, family history with bipolar disorder, and his journey toward sobriety. Writing music and visual art became his vital path to processing trauma, embracing vulnerability, and destigmatizing mental illness.

The onset of the 2020 pandemic and lockdown shattered Sean Solomon's career momentum as his band stalled and label support evaporated. Struggling with isolation and depression, he began learning Elliott Smith covers and recording intimate lo-fi home demos with no commercial expectations. When his close friend and fellow artist Shannon Lay was brought to tears by the demo for 'Black Hole', Sean Solomon realized the power of his raw recordings and gathered them into the album 'The World Is Not Good Enough'.

Accompanied by his hand-drawn pencil animations and archival digitized family footage, the record weaves together stories of surviving a severe car crash, the disillusionment of chasing creative animation careers, childhood isolation in the San Fernando Valley, reconciliation with complex family dynamics, and the overwhelming feeling of human powerlessness before raw nature. Ultimately, 'The World Is Not Good Enough' stands as an act of catharsis and an authentic exploration of self-discovery by a singer-songwriter seeking grace in a flawed world.
