Jimmy Smith - La métamorphose des cloportes (Bande originale du film) (2026)

In 1965, jazz organist Jimmy Smith composed and recorded the music for the French-Italian crime comedy La Métamorphose des cloportes, directed by Pierre Granier-Deferre and starring Lino Ventura and Charles Aznavour. The film blends dark humor with the traditions of classic gangster cinema. Smith’s score is built around his signature Hammond organ sound and gives the picture a distinctive jazz atmosphere. It is a rare and vivid example of 1960s jazz film music, in which soul grooves meet blues phrasing and cinematic tension.
