The Desert Furs - Existing Just For Fun (2025) Hi-Res

"Existing Just For Fun" is the fifth studio concept album by the American psychedelic rock quartet The Desert Furs from Longmont, Colorado, released on November 14, 2025, via the label/platform Mixtape Meditation.

The album's title translates as "Existing Just for Fun." The band positions this release as a manifesto of boundless creative freedom, joy, and hedonism, serving as a kind of psychological defense and resistance against the harsh realities of modern life. The musicians completely reject dark tones, creating a bright, eccentric, and vibrant musical canvas.
The album was mastered by renowned American sound engineer David Glasser at Airshow Mastering. The album consists of nine tracks that seamlessly flow from explosive funk beats to meditative psychedelic trips. To support the release, the band released a limited collector's edition on 140-gram translucent green vinyl (limited to 250 copies).
