Family Brown - Country Way (2026) [Hi-Res]

Family Brown was an influential country band from Ottawa that performed for audiences across Canada for 22 years. The group consisted of family patriarch Papa Joe Brown, his children Barry, Lavender, and Tracey, as well as musicians Gary “Spike” Spicer, Dave Dennison, Ron Sparling, and later Randall Prescott. The band achieved considerable success: 43 of its singles charted on RPM’s country chart, and it became one of the first Canadian acts to appear on the U.S. Billboard charts. Over the course of its career, the group recorded eleven albums and hosted a popular syndicated television show for 13 seasons. The band received more than 50 national awards, including three Juno Awards and a record eighteen Canadian Country Music Association Awards. Following Papa Joe Brown’s death in 1986 and the group’s final performance in 1990, its members pursued various musical projects, including founding the band Prescott-Brown.
