"Imposing Elements" is the second studio album by Canadian multi-instrumentalist and composer Dean Watson, self-released on February 1, 2012.
Unlike his debut release, Unsettled (2010), which was dominated by harsh metal riffs, this record takes a step toward a more refined, atmospheric, yet rhythmically fractured sound. Watson skillfully alternates virtuosic symphonic-prog keyboard passages with floating, legato guitar solos reminiscent of the legendary Allan Holdsworth.
