Prolific free jazz drummer Paal Nilssen-Love meets Eduardo Manse, Arthur Lacerda and Felipe Zenicola in the taut, driven free improvisations of 'Bota Fogo'. From an unnervingly quiet opening passage they launch a sustained attack in funked-up formation with some noxious, tangled swamp roil and guitar shredding for the duration, powered by the nastiest, muscular rhythm section prone to flipping headlong from sludge bass to funked up revs and hard-ass, fractured breakbeats with calamitous force.
