Oh So Quiet is this young singer-songwriters recording debut. And in light of that she's debutante, she does it really well - both as a songwriter and singer. Especially booklets myself at her albums obvious peak number It's Spring, which she had already in 2013 built the DR Big Band for the competition: "This year's new jazz star". The time, and now with the album marks Helene Bak that she has the potential to get well up the ladder in the Danish vocal jazz. Her songs appear as rounded and serene, in both melodies and harmonies. And this despite the fact that all this is a young debutante. One can debate whether she is inside vokaljazzens hits, or whether she really has blown these and country- or pop musician. Perhaps she is everything. And just as important: With bright ballads as It's Spring, Let Me and Oh So Quiet demonstrate that she has something to say, and she manages to convey this matter. All songs are homemade, impressive looking and definitely listen worthy.
