Cratebug - Cratebug Edits EP (2015)

Chicago's Cratebug has 'previously breathed new life into new and classic disco and house tracks' on labels like Derrick Carter's Persnickety, Lumberjacks In Hell and Tugboat. Now we see him hook up with KAT to deliver four more productions; a housed-up muscular version of 1979 pumper "Deputy of Love", percussive tribal romp "You Make Me Feel Good", while Karen Young's timeless jam "Hot Shot" gets perfectly teased out to nearly seven minutes long. Finally Akabu's 1984 breakdance classic, "Watch Yourself", gets stripped down into seriously cool minimalist house.
