Tomas Malo - After the Rain EP (2016)

Tomas Malo seems to be something of a rising star on the edits-not-edits scene. Here he brings his Tiger & Woods style cut-up goodness to '80s Child's Masterworks Music imprint. After delivering a deliciously tactile, loved-up interpretation of a wide-eyed '80s soul gem ("After The Rain"), he proceeds to turn Billy Ocean's "Nights (Feel Like Getting Down)" into a hypnotic, filter-heavy chugger, and turns a synth boogie jam into a head-nodding house treat ("We All Love A Fair"). "Pay Cut" does the same with a low-slung disco-funk smasher, while the filtered breakdowns and massive drops on "Reachin' Out" should cause a commotion on the dancefloor.
