ROB MILLER – PIANO, COMPOSITIONS
Even as a child growing up in the heart of Cape Breton Island, Rob was influenced by the beautiful natural surroundings of the area and the strong Celtic traditions that seemed to emanate from all around.

His earliest recollections of music were from his mother who taught piano and who instilled in him a sense of discipline and a deep love of melody. Although trained in a classical piano tradition, he was also influenced by both pop and folk music which gave him a broader range of musical appreciation.

Once at university, his yearnings turned towards science and medicine which then focused his energies for many years of study. Always in the background however were his strong feelings towards melody and the things that enhance and embellish the passion in music. As a result of a serendipitous meeting with Ron Huestis, a friendship and kindred relationship developed which over the last 4 years has resulted in their first collaborative CD album – Autumn Musings. They are now at work on a 2nd CD release, Summer Reflections which will be released in June 2007.

RON HUESTIS - ORCHESTRATION
Born and raised on Prince Edward Island, Ron was influenced musically by his father Lowell, a well knownand respected musician and broadcaster. After forming a solid foundation on piano and electronic organ in his teens, he acquired an affection for many other instruments, including saxophone, bass, and guitar. Growing up listening to jazz, classical, and pop music has allowed Ron to keep an open mind with all genres of music, which is key to his modern approach to songwriting and music production.

A veteran of the Atlantic Canadian music industry, he is equally at home in the studio as well as on stage. He has performed, co-written, and recorded with some of the east coast’s best, and has also been privileged to work with well known international artists such as Ian Creighton and Steve Negus of Saga fame.

Ron has embraced the tools of modern music production and takes his wealth of musical inspiration and techniques to new heights during his musical collaborations with Rob Miller.
