"Essential collection of material by Chris Cooper's decades-running Angst Hase Pfeffer Nase project, dropped like so many bread-crumbs on a treacherous Transylvanian mountain pass over a 15-year period via a series of compilations on 23five, Tinker, Twig Harper's Heresee, Tedium House's Bananafish, and Mystra, plus an extended unreleased piece.

Other than the fact that it's handy to have all of this material in one place, it's an oddly synergistic listen given the range of approach & the time-span; largely sourced to an extremely particular breed of Guitar / pedal interaction - and honestly, no one in the 20-odd years since he started doing this stuff has come anywhere close, other than maybe Agata from Melt-Banana - the music here rifles through an endlessly flitting array of micro-shards that seem almost super-human.
