Pat Appleton, singer with German-Liberian roots and voice the cult band De-Phazz, released her third album. From the beginning it was quite clear: it became a jazz album. Good decision! Not for nothing, 3SAT Pat Appleton was one of the "most important voices of contemporary German jazz". For years, the sawmate regularly toured around the world. As a composer and singer she also works for TV and film productions. In her second album, "Mittendrin", she devoted herself to her German home and her moving life in 2011, and she has now developed a new, own program with her Berlin Jazz Quintet, which will be broadcast live in September 2016 by the RBB in the series "The Voice In Concert ". Twelve English-language titles have now been created. The lead role was Sebastian Weiß with his compositions and arrangements similar to Burt Bacharach and the political jazz of the 1970s. The outstandingly well-groomed band groovt and Pat Appleton shows once again that she can write not only great and always a little uncomfortable lyrics, but also, what an outstanding silent but also vocal singer she is. "A Higher Desire" will be released on 21 April 2017 and Pat Appleton and Band will be celebrating their CD release concert in Münster!
