Missy Miss Behave - Jagged Weather (2017)

Missy Miss Behave is hellbent on breaking gender and music norms alike. She's a multi-instrumentalist, beat maker, and record producer with the ability to weave enigmatic and captivating stories through the use of a diverse palette of instruments.

Jagged Weather is her coming out story. Starting eleven months prior to the release date of the album, she told the first person that she is a transgender woman. The album details her emotions and tribulations from that point up until she began presenting authentically to the world. The release begins with themes of self-inflicted anguish and emptiness before tepidly exploring what inner peace may look like.

Sonically, the album draws heavily from classical, hip-hop, and metal influences. Using various flavors of sampling, synthesis, and harmonization, Missy Miss Behave has crafted a foreboding, ethereal soundscape. In addition to all compositional work being done by Missy Miss Behave, she also produced the entire work, start to finish.
