Brooklyn's Matt Morandi and Roxy Farman have instilled a particular scent of neo-romantic industrialism onto the scene since their first cassette was released on Primitive Languages, back in 2016. The preview to their debut album, Automatic Drawing, came through on Dais not too long ago, a snapshot which left us intrigued to say the least. The full 9 tracks contained within are a raucous, genre-bending mass of sounds which would best be placed under the "non-genre" genre. Brittle analogue beats form and break down constantly, allowing their cavernous, FX-drenched vocals to shine through the muddled, almost nonsensical arrangements. Don't fret, however, as there is plenty of thrashing noise and confusion to startle even the most hawkish of experimental aficionados, and it is their own take on the genre which leaves us yearning for more Wetware. Not for the weak-hearted.
