Dead Voices on Air , The Mirror Carrier is the most recent instalment in the career of Mark Spybey who has spent the past 30 years working with a host of colleagues in projects such as Download, Reformed Faction, Beehatch and Zoviet France. He is a prolific collaborator with artists as diverse as the late Can guitarist Michael Karoli, James Plotkin, Martin Atkins, Jarboe and Robert Hampson. The Mirror Carrier was constructed largely out of sounds made by arcane and homemade percussive and stringed instruments and the tape is packaged in a card box containing unique artworks.
