Amanda was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, a mid-size city that has produced many successful musicians, including The Marshall Tucker Band, Joe Bennett & The Sparkletones, David Ball, Pinky Anderson, and Marshall Chapman. She began singing before she could speak, "making up" songs shortly after. At age 9, she began writing her songs down! She sang with church, school, theatre, performance groups throughout her youth, and performed an original for the first time at age 13 .

In high school, Amanda started to dig even more deeply into music. She was fortunate to have rockabilly star Joe Bennett (Joe Bennett & the Sparkletones) as a guitar teacher and mentor. He gave her this advice: "If you want to succeed in songwriting, you have to make it a skill, not just a talent." Joe's advice and songwriting exercises are still invaluable to Amanda's songwriting!

She also started singing in her school's Jazz Band, which opened her up to a new world of music.

Amanda went on to graduate from the University of Florida (Go Gators), but always knew music held her heart. So, she chose and internship in Nashville to finish her last semester.

Amanda is continually working towards becoming the best entertainer & songwriter she can be. Her music is influenced by many artists, including Tanya Tucker, Charlie Daniels, Hank Williams Jr, Janis Joplin, The Marshall Tucker Band, Joan Jett, Lynryd Skynryd, Etta James, etc etc. Her unique sound combines country, southern-rock, a little blues and a lot of soul. Enjoy the music, and come along for the musical journey!
Amanda can be seen singing "He's Lookin' Better" in the early 2009 movie "Junkyard Dog". She also worked as a staff member of #1 writer, Kirsti Manna's Songwriter Girl Camp.
In 2013, Amanda was fortunate to have Tim Lawter (former Marshall Tucker Band bass player) & Rock n Roll Hall of Fame drummer Artimus Pyle (Lynryd Skynryd) play shows with the Almost Angels Band!
She has been blessed to be introduced to the famous Muscle Shoals, AL family, including writing in Fame Studio B with incredible musicians/writers Spooner Oldham, Mark Narmore, & Carl Holder! In October 2017, she and her band recorded a new album, "Front Porch Rebel" at Nutthouse Studio.
