Emily Musolino - The Vault (2018)

The Vault is a collection of unreleased Emily Musolino original songs, some brand new and some going all the way back to her years as an undergrad at Berklee College of Music. Assisted by the finest team of Carolina musicians, this is by far her proudest work. Songs like "Burn" "Eye of the Storm" and "Pull it Together" deal with rejection, relationship turmoil and how to build yourself up after a heartbreak. "Shatter the Ceiling," an unapologetic women's rights anthem, boldly calls out the gender pay gap. "Leaving Virginia" is a beautiful lament of love and loneliness on the road featuring Shana Tucker on Cello. "Show Me" takes the listener back to the giddy "puppy love" stage of a new relationship.
Stylistically, the songs on the album range from 70's rock to blues to pop, folk, and punk, yet they are all seamlessly tied together by Emily's incredible voice, compelling lyrics and expertly crafted arrangements. The Vault is a solid gold treasure of a record that will stand the test of time.
