The Statesboro Revue - Rumble On Privilege Creek (2013)

A few tens of miles west of Austin, tiny Privilege Creek flows right through the Texas Hill Country. Everywhere you look, the unique landscape dominates the image of the beholder, rolling hills, oak forests and ranch land into a feast for the eyes. Just as harmoniously, the different varieties in the music of Statesboro Revue fit together. The band with the historic name is the brainchild of singer / songwriter Stewart Mann, a high-talented guy from Austin, who may not be clear between Southern Roots'n Roll, Old School Rock and Americana. And it is this supposed indecision that leads to such diverse and exciting gems as the Statesboro Revue's brand new album.

Man, the boss of the company, has completely changed his band again. His younger brother Garrett Mann is not only in the booklet to the side, but has also composed several songs and now also acts as the foremost guitar man of the band. He convinces with great solos, fills the rooms with electric and acoustic rhythm guitars, plays slide and dobro, also some piano and percussion, sings the harmony voice.

The album title is a word combination borrowed from the family tradition of Mann's: The grandmother lived on the same Bach, the great-grandfather played Hillbilly / Stringband Music at the Bluebonnet Ramblers.

The Statesboro Revue has absorbed this spirit for the 12 tracks of their new album, enriched with classic American roots & rock 'n roll music of the 70s and prepared in the current Americana zeitgeist - and thus created a completely coherent, small Texas masterpiece!(google)
