Bartlomiej Kominek began his musical education when he was only six years old. He studied at the Frederic Chopin State Secondary School of Warsaw where he won a scholarship from the Frederic Chopin Scholarship Fund four times. He has since performed in concert halls across Poland and abroad. This release is a recording of a concert in which he performs music from Sergei Prokofiev. The cornerstone of this recital is Prokofiev’s Ten Pieces for Piano from the Ballet “Romeo and Juliet” Op. 75. Also included are the composer’s equally impressive works Toccata in D minor Op. 11, Suggestion diabolique from “Four Pieces” Op. 4, and Sonata No. 6 in A major Op. 82, which is the composer’s largest and most dramatic piano sonata.
