The Writer - One (2018)

Controversy seems to be the spice of today’s life, isn’t it? Just ask Trinidad entertainer, The Writer. His album, “ONE” is now available – this of course, in the aftermath of a countrywide debate in T&T a couple weeks ago, on the issue of his use of what appeared to be a Trinidad and Tobago police vehicle, in a video created for his new single, “Bunnin It.” Amid all the chatter, interviews and online banter, the artiste made it abundantly clear that prison would not stop his album release.
The Writer also is quite the entertainer. His music crosses genres and topic.
During the controversial video debate, The Writer told EBUZZTT, pretty much the same thing he’d consistently expressed in interviews with other media houses. “My music is entertainment and therefore it shouldn’t be taken literally. We need to be mindful that there is a difference between art and reality! Additionally, the vehicle isn’t the property of the institution in question and was simply a prop for an entertainmemt video,” he clarified.
The 12 track album “ONE” includes the hit single, “Bunnin It”.
Amid the hype however, The Writer said he really wanted the youths to understand that education is very important and urged them to show respect to the elders in society. Trinidad and Tobago has been battling a crime scourge in recent years that has seen a lot of youth across the nation, killed at the hands of their peers.
