Talking Elephant again gives us a superb remaster that really brings the music to life and makes me have greater appreciation for this more soulful sophmore release. I thought the lp was dull and robbed the music of the drama and nuance it has here. Spedding is easier to hear in multiple layers and Snips turns in much better vocals than the first lp - but the first lp had some heavy riffs and rocked harder than this. Expect more blue-eyed soul and slow burners here.In the same way J.Geils was tasty with his notes, so is Spedding on this outing.

Sharks were a British rock band, formed in November 1972, by the ex-Free bass player, Andy Fraser, upon his departure from Free and guitarist Chris Spedding (Motor Bikin' fame) . They were signed to Island Records, and were rated by critics, especially for Chris Spedding's guitar work. Here, although Andy Fraser left the band, Chris Spedding leads the way to the second album release. This is the second of three albums recorded by the band and considered to be one of their best work. This follows the re-issue of their first album on Talking Elephant last month
