A wonderful mix of mid-'60s radio hits, this set, like all of the Time Life productions, is both generous and carefully assembled, and includes gems like the Beach Boys' "Don't Worry Baby," Al Hirt's infectious "Java," the Searchers' definitive "Needles and Pins," the Cyrkle's "Turn-Down Day," Lovin' Spoonful's delightful "Nashville Cats," and the T-Bones' implausible TV jingle turned pop hit, "No Matter What Shape (You Stomach's In)." The end result is a great sequence for cruising down the road in your time machine.
