Kirsti Huke - Deloo (2007)

Debut album by Kirsti Huke of Norway which garnered plenty of praises. Her voice in this album has been described as a "honey jar" and a "powerhouse", for her playful and rooted approach to jazz standards as well as pop and rock songs in a quartet setting. Coming from the acclaimed environment around Trondheims academy for jazz, she's been developing her personal style through various projects. She's backed by stellar and noted musicians in the quartet - Steinar Raknes on bass, Vigleik Storaas on piano and Erik Nylander on drums. Kirsti and the quartet released their second album on May last year.
