PROVOKE - Deeper Waters (2018)

As big fans of Provoke, we were ecstatic when we heard tell of his new album ‘Deeper Waters’, as we knew from the jump it would be jam packed with vibrancy and finesse. Upon listening it immediately becomes clear that it is a project of diversity with styles stretching from the stunning soundscaping of ‘Fate’ to the more intense melodic movement and drum designs of ‘Lost In Time’. Our highlights for the overall project have to include the incredible melody design of ‘Chasing You’ which blends subtle growling reeses with airy atmospherics and soft vocal expressions. Another special mention has to go out to the stunning sub processing on ‘Musical Language’ and the emotive harmonies on ‘Thoughts Can Change’, both of which also prove to be standouts from this impressive body of work.
