Andreas Diehlmann Band - Your Blues Ain't Mine (2018)

The debut of the Andreas Diehlmann band from 2017 was for me a revelation in blues and blues rock, national and yes, also international. No Frickeleien, nothing shredded umpteen times, no blank-blown cover but great presented material, which he darbot with the perfect Grooveduo Tom Bonn drums and Volker Zeller bass, compact fabric of a compact trio. Nearly 46 minutes of finest music await the listener on "Your Blues Ain't Mine": four cover versions and five of their own works, with the band being accompanied by exquisite harp on Thomas Feldmann's first song "Come On In My Kitchen". And if I can trust my loudspeakers, and I can do that 100%, Andreas' voice has become even more greasy, dirty and rough. And the call and response between slide and harp towards the end of the song ....... The Robert Johnson classic: in this version, refreshing and fun.
