You might be searching awhile to find a rock & roll band as loose and unassuming as the Gentlemen. Their rollicking mix of rifftastic hard rock, wall-shaking barroom rave-ups, and swaggering Southern boogie is well crafted, exciting, and catchy as heck. Brass City Band is their best record yet. Co-writers, guitarists, and vocalists Mike Gent and Lucky Jackson have written a fine batch of rockin' songs, and the band delivers them with all power of a Joe Louis punch. Try to find better American AOR in 2005 and you'll find yourself back in Brass City pretty quickly, spinning "Flame for Hire," "100 Stone," "A Lot to Say," and the take-no-prisoners title track while you drive around with your windows rolled down and various types of mayhem on your mind.
