Galuppi is one of the marvels of Venetian baroque music, but his works have seldom been recorded well. Often, the harpsichord pieces sound too reverberant---possibly because of the conditions under which they are played and recorded. This Claves recording is marvelous in its balance; and the pieces performed are simply sublime.
