Despite the song relives in its original dimension, triggered by the compositional ability of the "Bolognese" (Italian) guitarist in mixing with taste and innovation Portuguese fado, jazz, gipsy and flamenco music, the words of Antonacci, for their perfect interlocking with the sound mood, extremely melancholic , and the setting in "Salento" (South of Italy), a symbol of evasion and hedonistic perdition, remain in the air. And they knock at the arrival of every summer like a propitiatory mantra.
Nicknamed "El Gitano" and defined by the press as "world-class musician", Dessì returns to the recording scene at fast rhythms. Only a few months ago he had given to the italian pop star Mietta the top of the jazz charts with the song "Semplice", an elegant mix between vocal experimentation, jazz and tango. And "Paradise" is already on its way home, the sixth album by Marea in collaboration with the histrionic Italian accordionist Massimo Tagliata, second half of the duo, and with the Argentine saxophonist Javier Girotto, assiduous special guest of his projects. Moreover, important artistic collaborations in his past have never been lacking: from those with international artists such as the American Frank Marocco, the Swedish Marius Sverrisson, the Czech Helena Vondráčková, the Russian Elena Zaryadnova and the Spanish Raquel Martinez, to those with Italian artists the likes of Fabrizio Bosso, Gabriele Mirabassi, Arnoldo Foà and Fabio Concato.
Now it's time to start from his talent. A talent that has already earned him important awards such as the "Nino Rota" International Career Award and the Ethic Award, international tours with the Russian "Tchaikovsky" Symphony Orchestra and stages such as the Veneto Jazz Festival, the Bologna Jazz Festival and the Frankfurt Musik Messe.
"Non Vivo Più Senza Te" is the fifth solo album by Andrea Dessì, containing the single homonym in the "Instrumental version" and available in all record stores, digital stores and on streaming platforms starting from Monday 25 June.
The album, produced by Irma Records and distributed by Believe Digital, hosts the pianist and double bass player Alessandro Altarocca, the percussionist Leonardo Ramadori and the singer Silvia Donati, who with his persuasive voice and his visionary texts embellish songs, already precious in itself , like "Calm Sea" and "Brivido Terra".
The guitars with which Andrea Dessì shows an uncommon virtuosity in the performance of the pieces are two: the 'flamenca' Salvador Cortez and the 'folk' Mayson. For his compositions he creates an original mélange of sounds and musical genres, drawing inspiration from both the flamenco and tango of Astor Piazzolla and the classical sounds of Ravel and Debussy. Graduated in classical guitar and jazz guitar, he studied at the Accademia Musicale Teatro Cinghio in Parma with the "Trio di Parma" and masters such as Matteo Mela and Giampaolo Bandini. Among his key guitarists stand Pat Metheny, Jim Hall, Sergio Assad, David Russell and Eduardo Fernandez.
