Robert Lydecker - Iron Fist: Season 2 (Original Soundtrack) (2018)

ROBERT LYDECKER is an Emmy-nominated composer. He recently scored the second season of Iron Fist for Marvel/Netflix and is currently working on the third season of the Lethal Weapon series. Lydecker co-scored two seasons of ABC’s Designated Survivor alongside Sean Callery, and co-composed the score for the 2017 Paramount film xXx: Return of Xander Cage with Brian Tyler. Lydecker and Tyler also scored four seasons of the Fox series Sleepy Hollow together, earning an Emmy Nomination for the main title theme.

Lydecker has also contributed music to film and game projects such as Avengers II: Age of Ultron, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Iron Man 3, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, The Expendables II & III, Olympus Has Fallen and The Crazies. He also penned the theme for PBS’s Just Seen It.

While Lydecker is grateful for the opportunities and training he has received from veteran-composers like Brian Tyler and Sean Callery, his favorite part of working in film has always been getting to know his filmic collaborators and finding a way to translate their concepts of image and story into musical sound. Lydecker enjoys working with filmmakers who have a distinct message and clear vision for their work.

In contrast to his music on large-scale studio scores, close collaborations with independent filmmakers have produced more eclectic work. One score might be a few sparse notes or sounds while another might be an eccentric, yet hummable, collage of instruments.

Outside of film, Lydecker plays drums in a punk band with his friends and likes to garden, spend time outside and hopes to make the world a better place.
