Freedom and Whiskey's conception in 2001 created a rock band from the Louisville, Kentucky area consisting of three main members; Bill Goins (Vocals / Bass and Guitar), Mike Huettig (Drums / Guitar / Keyboard and Vocals), and Chuck Mingis (Lead Guitar). Mike and Chuck have both toured and recorded with the band... Days of the New.
Freedom and Whiskey has released seven CD's as of 2012. Their eclectic style of guitar driven music has a classic / southern rock influence with a unique bluesy modern sound. Some of their influences include Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin , Van Halen, Collective Soul, Sound Garden and many others.
Freedom and Whiskey writes, records and produces all of their own material and have had many other members over the years such as bassist Griffin Torrance, vocalist and harmonica player Mark Hoekstra, percussionist Rob Edwards and keyboardist / producer Todd Smith. Freedom and Whiskey's material has been featured in many publications, radio stations, contest and have sold Cd's and mp3's all over the globe. Thanks to all our fans that keep us going!
