Ethnikman - Gnawa Electronic (2018)

Ethnikman, a sound engineer, producer, DJ, vinyl collector and music fanatic. Yassine was born in Rotterdam city - The Netherlands early eighties and raised in Marrakesh city - Morocco. where his passion for traditional music developed.
Started producing music at the age of 16, Sampling tunes into the Hiphop style, imitating games’ sounds and become interested in Psytrance/Goa music then to House, ethnic and world music.

A feeling for rhythm was given to him at an early age by his father’s vinyls collection, who also was passionate about blues/groove and classical Moroccan music in his time.

These days, when he produces music, he tries to put the sounds from his memories into his own work. Fusion is a key word in his passion as he takes inspiration from various folk styles of music.

Focused on Ethno/ Tech House, to bring colours of the north african and ethnic vibes to the global House/Minimal world.
