The only solo album by an American blues singer who began her career as a backing vocalist. She worked with many bands and performers - “The Persuaders” with David Johnson (who plays guitar in her solo album), with Lou Reed (song “Coney Island Baby”), “Commander Cody”, Jerry Jeff Walker, “Alice & The Wonderland Band and many others. In 1972, she became the lead vocalist of the New York-based group “White Cloud”. Subsequently, she again worked as a session vocalist. She was married to drummer Richard Crooks. She died in 1998.
