We are Ricardo Belda, pianist and Arantxa Domínguez, singer, and together we have created a musical project called SOLID. After sharing together many years of varied musical experiences (especially in the world of Jazz), we decided to join forces and create a musical project that goes from Jazz to .. 'life itself';) ... With musical influences of the journey in our lives ... Variopintas. We got down to work and we did not get bad at all ... and we created an 'empire' ... of songs. They are compositions of all kinds, which aim to approach the listener through music and also of letters (small and simple experiential messages). And all this adventure, full of 'cybernetic shipments', leads us to want to record an album, whose name is: 'A LAS PUERTAS' ... suggestive title, no?

On the album, you will find a bit of our existence ... some of our new songs and, in addition, 'revisit' some jazz standars, re-quete-arranged and reinterpreted. The compositions are of the two. The musical arrangements of Ricardo (although there is one of mine with his final ending) and the lyrics come from my 'posos' (although he has something that this time you will not hear ...). I have dared to sing in Spanish, in Valencian, in Portuguese and in English ... a lot of courage, I know. Sorry for the daring. Was necessary.

And although SÓLIDOS emerged as a duo, on this album we wanted to share our ideas with 'musicians who play as if there were no tomorrow', some friends some time ago, other new friends, for sure ... They have left us an unforgettable memory, and a lovely disk. THANKS PARTNERS! ANTONIO SERRANO (harmonica), DAVID PASTOR (trumpet), TONI BELENGUER (trombone) and VÍCTOR JIMÉNEZ (alto sax), and with a solid rhythm base MANUEL HAMERNLINCK (guitar), MATT. BAKER (bassist) and MARIANO STEIMBERG (drums). ... and all this music recorded with Jorge Pérez and Jacobo Cardells in Music Studio.
