Lost Boy? - Paranoid Fiction (2018) [Hi-Res]

Hailing from Long Island, NY, Davey Jones created Lost Boy? as a bedroom, 4-track experimental pop recording project, self-releasing a number of LPs, EPs and singles over the last dozen years. However, his latest full length effort, Paranoid Fiction serves as a departure from Lost Boy?'s lo-fi persona, rather it's a hi-fi Brooklyn punk rock album. It find Jones "channeling the playful persona of the homonymous '60s pop-rock icon and repositioning it in a post-Downtown '81 New York grime...Paranoid Fiction was constructed with both time periods in mind, and both shine through on our first taste, the three-minute ripper 'Reaper'" (Flood). "A healthy diet of mezcal, black barrel whiskey, and a ton of caffeine were consumed," Jones recalls of the recording process.
